A Report on refresher course in Indian Knowledge Systems
MIT IIKS proudly reports that Dr. Vaishnavi Nishankar, Associate Director (Academics), MIT IIKS, was invited as the chief guest and resource person for inaugurating the Refresher Course in Indian Knowledge System (MDC), along with Prof. Suryanarayana Jammalamadaka, Assistant Professor, MIT IIKS, who was also invited as a resource person to conduct two sessions at this event (14/11/2022 to 26/11/2022) for University & College teachers organised jointly by UGC-HRDC at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and National Law University, Nagpur.
More than 40 participants from across 14 states in India participated in this refresher course that embarked on enlightening the teaching fraternity to imbibe and inculcate IKS in their teaching-learning practice following the guidelines form NEP 2020.
Dr. Vaishnavi Nishankar delivered her talks in 2 successive sessions on the topics – ‘Introduction to the Framework and Evolution of Indian Knowledge Systems’ and ‘Sources and Contours of the IKS Literature’ on 16/11/2022.
Prof. Suryanarayana Jammalamadaka delivered his talks in 2 sessions on the topics – ‘Indic Science of Reasoning for Inquiries into Truth’ and ‘Indic Thoughts on Development of Scientific Temper and Critical Thinking for Reforming Modern Education’ on 14/11/2022.
All the sessions were well-received by the participants with interactive exchanges.
