A Report on BHU Visit
MIT IIKS proudly reports that Prof. Suryanarayana Jammalamadaka, Assistant Professor, MIT IIKS, was invited as a visiting fellow to BHU to –
(i) Conduct six sessions for Diploma students at Vedic Vigyana Kendra (Center for Vedic Sciences), BHU
(ii) Take part in the inaugural session of various diploma courses conducted by Vedic Vigyana Kendra (Center for Vedic Sciences), BHU
(iii) Take part in the two day international conference on Shaivism conducted by Vedic Vigyana Kendra (Center for Vedic Sciences), BHU
(iv) Suggest changes to the curriculum – various diploma courses
(v) Submit a research article on विश्वविद्यालयेषु भारतीयशास्त्राध्यापने ब्लूम्स् टाक्सोनमी इत्यस्य अनुप्रयोगः which will be published in ‘Vedavigyanabhaswati’ – A Half-yearly research journal published<b> </b>by Vedic Vigyana Kendra (Center for Vedic Sciences), BHU
The other notable activities at varanasi are –
(a) Prof. Rajaram Shukla ji, Prof. Brijbhushan Ojha ji, Prof. Upendrakumar Tripathi ji, Prof. Hridaya Ranjan Sharma ji, and Prof. Kamalesh Jha ji were just a few of the punditas of Varanasi with whom he interacted. He discussed the ongoing programmes, pedagogy, and research at IIKS, Pune with them.
(b) He had the good fortune to experience the traditional varanasi shastra sabha at Mumukshu Bhavan, Assi Ghat
(c) He had the opportunity to visit the Central Library, the BHU Campus, and Sampurnananda University and meet some research scholars and faculty
All of the interactions mentioned above have been extremely welcoming to the pedagogy we use at IIKS, Pun
