Vedanta is a very popular subject of study that attracts patrons from around the globe. The various and varied schools of thought that have their common sources in the Vedic literature and lore present intricacies in interpretation of the texts with different perspectives and hence having a firm foundation in the basics of the tenets of the different schools of Vedanta is essential even if one may have conviction towards only one of them as the schools of thought are built upon the dialectics of each other. This course is designed to provide such foundational background to enable the learners to have clarity going ahead with their study of Vedanta.
This course aims to introduce the ontological categories of the Advaita, Viśiṣṭādvaita and Dvaita schools of philosophy based on their primer texts.
This course covers the purpose and basics of Sanskrit poetics. Learners can study illustratively the prasaṅga type of poetry with Raghuvaṁśa and the muktaka type of poetry with Nītiśatakam.

This course aims to study the sañjñā, paribhāṣā and pañca-sandhi prakaraṇas of Siddhānta-kaumudī.
This course involves the study of ajanta-pulliṅga, strīliṅga, bhū-dhātu & edh-dhātu prakaraṇas and Kāraka-prakaraṇa of Siddhānta-kaumudī and Laghu-siddhānta-kaumudī.
This course involves the study of Samāsa-prakaraṇa of Siddhānta-kaumudī, where the learner will be introduced to the philosophy of Vyākaraṇa along with an overview of the content of Vākyapadīya and the theories of sphoṭa and apoddhāra based on Vākyapadīya.
This course provides an introduction to Yajurveda and Sāmaveda along with illustrations of the mantras of the Saṁhitā, Brāhmaṇa, Āraṇyaka and Upaniṣads of the two Vedas
