Dr. Sowjanya Kumar earned his Ph.D. from Sri Venkateshwara Vedic University in Tirupathi with a thesis titled “Khanda deva abhimata bhavana bheda bodhaka pramanani”. He studied Yajurvedam Kramaantam and passed the Poortipareeksha at Raja Veda Kavya Pathasala in Kumbakonam. He also completed the Samhitana Poorti Pareeksha at Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Vidya Pratishthanam in Ujjain, which was organized by the Central Government of India.

He holds a B.A. and M.A. in Sanskrit, specializing in Sahastram Mimamsa, and is currently studying Mimamsa under Brahmasri Dr. Mani Dravid in the Exam Scheme at Tenali Veda Vedanta Shastra Sabha. Dr. Sowjanya Kumar has worked as an assistant professor at Madras Sanskrit College in Chennai and is currently serving as a Shastra Adhyapaka at Sri Jagadguru Veda Kavya Vidya Bhavanam.

Dr. Sowjanya Kumar is a three-time gold medalist in national-level competitions organized by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Central Government) representing Tamil Nadu. He has also participated in numerous inter-collegiate competitions, Sanskrit dramas, and Vaakyartha Sadas.
